Uwe Rosler says Brentford can be proud of their efforts against Chelsea and believes the FA Cup fourth-round tie was a wonderful advert for the club.

League One side Brentford took Chelsea to a replay before losing 4-0 at Stamford Bridge yesterday and Rosler said: “The supporters were magnificent and my players can be very proud of the way they represented our colours.

“Our players can see they can compete collectively against top opposition. It was an advert for the whole club.”

Meanwhile, Brentford midfielder Jake Reeves has been given the all clear after suffering concussion during yesterday’s game.

He was forced off following a late challenge from David Luiz. The Brazilian was booked and went into the Bees dressing room after the game to apologise. Goals from Juan Mata, Oscar, Frank Lampard and John Terry saw Chelsea through.
