Antonio Conte has called on his Chelsea side to put in a resilient performance in Barcelona on Wednesday night in the second-leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.
The Blues are level at 1-1 following a tight first-leg, which saw a mistake from Andreas Christensen allow Lionel Messi to cancel out Willian’s opener with ease despite an otherwise sound performance from the Premier League champions.
Conte’s side took all three points from Crystal Palace on Sunday thanks to a ruthless first half display, which rendered the Eagles’ second half efforts useless at Stamford Bridge.
The Italian called on his players to replicate their ‘almost perfect’ performance from last time out, and revealed he could consult them for contributions towards a game plan.
"We have to show great resilience,” Conte said.
“The game for sure will be totally different [to Crystal Palace] and we are playing against one of the best teams in the world. We must pay great attention and have the same focus and concentration of the first leg against Barcelona.
"I think we played a really great game, almost the perfect game if we didn't concede the goal at the last. It won’t be easy, we have to know this and at the same time we have to try to find the right solution to play this game.
