A host of Chelsea players took to their social media accounts on Friday evening as the Blues began their pre-season preparations with a trip to Austria.

Antonio Conte and his men were pictured boarding a plane on Friday ahead of the team's first pre-season game against Rapid Vienna on Saturday afternoon.

Among the players who expressed their excitement at playing their first Chelsea match following two months away from club duty was Willian, who posted a photo of himself on the plane with the caption: "Pre-season here we go!"

Fellow Brazilian Oscar also took to the social network site to show several players smiling on the aircraft ahead of their flight, including Diego Costa, whose future at Stamford Bridge has been heavily talked about today.

Conte, who this week took charge of his first training sessions since being appointed as Chelsea's new manager in April, will oversee pre-season games against Vienna and RZ Pellets in Europe before the squad fly to the US to play Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

The team then kick-start the new Premier League campaign with a tricky home clash against London rivals West Ham.
