Branislav Ivanovic is expected to ignore interest from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain to sign a new contract.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from west London having failed to agree terms on an extension yet.

Ivanovic still has over 12 months left of his current deal left to run and as part of their policy for over players over 30, Chelsea have offered only one more year.

Ivanovic is hoping for longer than that, which has held up proceedings, but a compromise should be reached.

The La Liga club are hoping to capitalise on Luis' lack of first team football at Stamford Bridge to take him back to Vicente Calderon.

Should Luis leave the club, Chelsea will need to buy another full back. But it is understood manager Jose Mourinho is keen to buy West Ham's Aaron Cresswell.
