Chelsea vs Manchester United: Should David Luiz have been sent off for his high tackle on Marouane Fellaini?

David Luiz appeared fortunate to escape a red card in the first half of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Manchester United on Sunday.

Pedro scored inside the first minute before Gary Cahill doubled the hosts' advantage 20 minutes later as the Blues heaped misery on their former boss Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

Chants of 'you're not special anymore' were aimed at Mourinho by sections of the Chelsea support as the west Londoners looked to close the gap to pace-setters Manchester City to one point with victory.

But Luiz risked handing United a route back into the game with a wild challenge just before half-time.

The Brazil international went in with his studs up on United's Marouane Fellaini and completely missed the ball. The incident was seen by referee Martin Atkinson, who deemed it only worthy of a caution.

But should Luiz have seen red? Have your say in our poll below.
