Mile Jedinak says Crystal Palace have been rewarded for staying positive throughout their Premier League slump.

Palace beat Norwich 1-0 on Saturday to end a desperate run of 14 matches and 112 days without a win.

Jedinak praised the character shown by Palace to stop the rot and said: “The thing that you have got in the changing room is a very positive mindset.

“You cannot keep thinking about the games you have lost, you have got to keep looking forward. It is just about trying to keep doing the right thing and keep everyone going. We stuck to the gameplan and it was great that we got the reward.

“No one likes to go on a run that we have been on. We showed character on Saturday.” Jedinak has also hailed Jason Puncheon, who scored a brilliant winner against Norwich.

“I could not be happier for Punch,” said the Palace captain.

“He has been out [injured] but he came back a few weeks ago and had a tremendous game, and to cap it off with a goal and solid performance against Norwich was what the team needed.”
