A group of disgruntled Crystal Palace season ticket holders have deemed the plans to accommodate the Holmesdale Fanatics from next season as "unworkable".

The Fanatics, a group of 'ultras' who have been prominent supporters in the Holmesdale Road End for the 13 seasons up to this year, are set to be relocated to an area behind the goal from next season in a bid to create the largest signing section at an English ground.

After initially resisting the move, Crystal Palace greenlit a switch to Block E having listened to supporter feedback. However, the current occupants of the section are campaigning against the decision, saying the matchday experience of every supporter is of equal importance.

"This is a statement from a group of committed Block E fans who have joined together in order to give a balanced view and representation of the impact of the clubs decision to move the Fanatics.

"Approximately 400 season ticket holders, rows 18 to 36, are affected. Many of these people have held those tickets since the stand was built in 1995. Many stood on the same spot before that. People sit with their family and friends, for the most this experience is one of the most important things in their lives. We are a community equal to the Fanatics.

"The current proposal offered by the club is inadequate and unworkable. It will be unlikely that people will be able to get seats in their current groupings. For many the entire matchday experience, something they have had for 20+ years will be irreconcilably changed.

"We fully recognised the massive role that the Fanatics have played in the success of the club over the last 10 years. And we also recognised the strength of feeling amongst a wider fanbase to accommodate their return. But we also ask that fellow supporters recognise out loyalty and right to an equitable solution.

"We urge all parties to have further discussions, consult with us and try to find a better solution. We would also ask the Fanatics to help us in this process."
