Wilfried Zaha was still in the Ivory Coast on Friday morning waiting to hear if he would be sent home from international duty.

Zaha was called up for the Ivory Coast’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda tomorrow and Tuesday’s friendly with Liberia, despite missing Crystal Palace’s FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Watford last Saturday with a hamstring strain.

The 26-year-old forward made the 3,200-mile flight to the Ivory Coast on Wednesday, even though he could yet be sent back after having his fitness assessed.

Palace’s initial diagnosis was that Zaha would be fit in time for their next Premier League match, against Huddersfield on March 30.
