Chelsea will face Manchester City in the EFL Cup Final on February 24 after winning a thrilling semi-final London derby against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.

Following a 1-0 first-leg win for Tottenham at Wembley, Chelsea headed into Thursday night's second leg at Stamford Bridge knowing nothing less than a win would do.

Goals from N'Golo Kante and Eden Hazard duly gave Maurizio Sarri's Blues a 2-0 first-half lead, but a Fernando Llorente header after the break left the tie 2-2 on aggregate as the game went to a penalty shootout.

Chelsea held their nerve with four perfect penalties as Lucas Moura and Eric Dier both missed their spot-kicks, with Spurs exiting the competition.

Man City completed the formality of victory in their semi-final with a routine 1-0 win at Burton on Wednesday night.

Sergio Aguero scored the only goal on a freezing night at the Pirelli Stadium, completing a comprehensive 10-0 aggregate success for the holders that sends them to the final on February 24.

City had won the first leg 9-0 at the Etihad, with Gabriel Jesus scoring four goals in the rout.
