English referee Martin Atkinson will take charge of Saturday's Euro 2016 clash between Wales and Northern Ireland.

The all-British last-16 tie will be Atkinson's third game of this summer's championships after he officiated Germany's victory over Ukraine and Portugal's thrilling 3-3 draw against Hungary on Wednesday.

Mark Clattenburg will also feature in the first round of the knock-out stages.

Englishman Clattenburg, who took charge of last month's FA Cup final as well as the all-Madrid Champions League showpiece, has been handed Switzerland's match against Poland on Saturday.

Clattenburg oversaw Italy's win against Belgium and the Czech Republic's 2-2 draw with Croatia which was marred by crowd trouble.

The Croatian Football Federation was fined 100,000 Euros by Uefa following crowd disturbances, the throwing of missiles, use of fireworks and racist behaviour during the game on June 17.

The match was halted by Clattenburg for five minutes in the closing stages as several flares were thrown onto the field.

Ante Cacic's side led 2-1 when the incident stopped proceeding and went on to concede a late penalty once play had resumed.

Fans were seen fighting among themselves as the game continued to its conclusion, with Cacic described the individuals responsible for the trouble as "sports terrorists".

The federation has also been prohibited from selling tickets to 'certain fans' identified as 'hooligans' along with the fine.
