Tottenham are closing in on their third signing of the summer with Georges-Kevin N’Koudou due to arrive in London today for a medical.
Spurs are believed to have agreed a fee of £10.8million with Marseille for the 21-year-old winger after stepping up talks over the past few days.
N’Koudou, who scored 10 goals (five in Ligue 1) last term after joining Marseille from Nantes for £1m, is a highly rated France Under-21 international. He can play on either flank and Marseille decided to cash in despite him having four years left on his contract.
A number of clubs, including West Ham, Manchester United and Liverpool, sent scouts to watch him last term but Spurs have acted quickly to secure his signature and are expected to hand him a five-year deal.
Coach Mauricio Pochettio has already spent £28m on AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen and Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama as he looks to improve the squad that finished third last term.
It is understood Marseille enquired about the possibility of taking Clinton N’Jie on loan during negotiations with Spurs over N’Koudou.
N’Jie struggled to make an impact last term after joining Spurs from Lyon for £8.3m.
The 22-year-old started just two matches, neither of which was in the Premier League, and could be allowed to leave in order to get more first-team football.

Marseille’s interest in N’Jie is independent of the N’Koudou deal and won’t pose a threat to the transfer being completed.
