Harry Kane has told Tottenham to expect a "hostile atmosphere" in tonight's Europa League last-32 clash against Gent.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have been installed as clear favourites to progress, having dropped into the competition after failing to qualify from their Champions League group.
The north Londoners are widely regarded as one of the best sides left in the competition and have aspirations to progress to the latter stages while also maintaining a Premier League title challenge.
But Kane is wary of the threat Hein Vanhaezebrouck's men will pose on their home patch, with last season's 2-1 defeat to Anderlecht fresh in the striker's mind.
"It's going to be difficult," Kane told BT Sport. "We've played a couple of Belgian sides in the past in the Europa League - like Anderlecht last year.
"They're very good footballing teams with a lot of good technical players.
"Away from home it was a hostile atmosphere and it made it tough for us. We're expecting the same thing.
"We have a few Belgian players ourselves so they should know a thing or two but we're just looking forward to the game and hopefully we can come out on top," Kane added.
Gent's stadium - Ghelamco Arena - has a 20,000 capacity and is set to be sold out for the visit of their Premier League counterparts.
The hosts currently occupy eighth place in the top tier of Belgian football and will be aiming to cause an upset ahead of next week's return leg at White Hart Lane.
Spurs have competed in the Europa League in the past five seasons but are yet progress further than the quarter-finals.
