Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has said he has 'no problem' dropping into midfield.
The 29-year-old has been deployed in the centre of the park at points this term to accommodate Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie up front, but has thrived further up the field in recent weeks.
Rooney has scored four in all competitions since playing as a striker in the absence of injured Dutch frontman Van Perseie, but says he will happily fulfill midfield duties if Louis van Gaal's wants to play him there.
“I’ve always been hungry to play this season,” the England captain told talkSPORT.

“The manager has seen fit to play me in midfield for some games and I’ve done that.
“With Robin van Persie injured he’s put me back up top and I’ve been scoring.
“I’m sure there will be times when the manager wants me go back into midfield, which I have no problem doing.”
