Juliano Belletti set for Fluminese move

Returning to Brazil: Juliano Belletti
11 April 2012

Brazilian outfit Fluminense are set to conclude a deal to sign Juliano Belletti after agreeing terms with the former Chelsea and Barcelona full-back.

The 34-year-old is available on a free transfer after being released by Chelsea at the end of last season.

Belletti will pen a two-year deal with the Rio de Janeiro-based club upon the successful completion of a medical later this week, a statement on Fluminense's official website confirmed.

The Brazilian, capped 25 times by his country, joined Chelsea from Barca in 2007 and went on to make almost 100 appearances for the London club over three years.

His career began at Cruzeiro before moving on to Sao Paulo, Atletico Mineiro and Villarreal.

Belletti sealed a transfer to Barcelona in 2004, his only goal for the club coming as he hit the winning strike in the 2006 Champions League final against Arsenal.
