Kolo Toure staying with Manchester City

1 August 2012

Manchester City centre back Kolo Toure has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from the club despite his contract running out next summer.

Toure lost his first team spot last year when he was banned for six months for failing a drugs test and has found himself down the pecking order since his return.

Now that he has entered the last year of his contract it was thought he might try and move elsewhere in pursuit of regular first team football, with Turkish side Bursaspor most recently making a move for his signature.

However, the Ivory Coast international has said that he remains committed to City and playing in the same side as his brother Yaya.

The 31-year-old said: "I did speak to the people there, but I'm just focusing on City," he said. "I'm a City player, I still enjoy it here - you can see that.

"I love playing at the same club as my brother. But we will see what will happen. I've got one year left on my contract and that's it.

"I am still at City but you never know the future. For me the most important thing is every day I'm at City I'll give 100 per cent."
