Liverpool's red-hot forward line is "lucky" to be playing in such a creative team, according to Sadio Mane.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Mane has scored 43 Premier League goals between them this season, with the trio all netting in Liverpool's 4-1 win over West Ham at Anfield on Saturday to go second in the table.

Liverpool have now scored 103 competitive goals in the 2017-18 season, though Mane - who scored his side's fourth of the afternoon - says that the goal tally of Jurgen Klopp's forwards is down to some exceptional creative play from the rest of the team.

"Honestly we played very good from the beginning," Mane told BBC Sport.

"We scored four goals and created so many chances. We pushed as a team.

Salah: 23 goals, 8 assists

Firmino: 13 goals, 6 assists

Mane: 7 goals, 5 assists

"The front three are all lucky boys, the rest of the team give us assists and play well behind so we are lucky."

Emre Can opened the scoring before setting up Salah, and said following the game: "We did our job today, we could have scored a few more goals to be honest.

"It was my mistake which meant that we conceded a goal which is a shame.

"It is difficult to be top, Manchester City are too far away, but of course we want to finish second."
