It will take something truly special to prevent Manchester City winning the 2017-18 Premier League title, with none of their rivals getting close to Pep Guardiola's side so far this season.

City extended their Premier League-record winning run to 16 games as they thrashed Tottenham 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

Two goals from the prolific Raheem Sterling added to earlier efforts from Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne as the hosts swept aside the Londoners on a misty night, with Gabriel Jesus also missing a penalty for good measure.

The result means City have now beaten each of the Premier League's top six finishers from last season in their record-breaking run, with an aggregate score on 15-3 against Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham,

Here's a look back at those games...

Man City 5 Liverpool 0, September 9

Sergio Aguero put City ahead before Liverpool's Sadio Mane was sent off for catching goalkeeper Ederson with a high boot and Jesus and Leroy Sane scored twice apiece.

Chelsea 0 Manchester City 1, September 30

Chelsea at least slowed City's free-scoring form but they were beaten by a 67th-minute goal from their former player Kevin De Bruyne.

Man City 3 Arsenal 1, November 5

De Bruyne and an Aguero penalty put City in control and, although Alexandre Lacazette pulled one back, Jesus made the game safe.

Man United 1 Man City 2, December 10

City were deserving derby winners as Otamendi was gifted the winner after David Silva's opener was cancelled out by Marcus Rashford.

Man City 4 Tottenham 1, December 16

Gundogan's first goal of the season set City on their way, the inspirational De Bruyne adding the second before Sterling's late brace. Christian Eriksen scored Spurs' consolation in stoppage time.
