Fighting Talk: Balotelli hits back at the critics

Mario Balotelli has hit out at his critics in an angry video posted on his Instagram page tonight, telling them to "shut up".

The Liverpool striker has failed to impress at Anfield since his £16m move from AC Milan last summer, scoring only four goals in 24 appearances. He has already been linked with a transfer away from the club in the summer.

In the video (see below), the 24-year-old Italian asks:

"Do you know me?

"Did you ever talk to me, personally?

"Do you know what I've been through in my life?

"You just saw me play football on the pitch.

"Man, shut up."

The clip came with the caption: "For those with an easy judge without knowing s*** about others. #idowhatiwant-remember!"

The striker, who has started only game for the Reds since November, is very much a doubt to start for the club in their crucial Premier League game against Manchester United on Sunday.

He missed Liverpool's 1-0 win over Swansea City last night due to illness.
