Manchester City will face Shakhtar Donetsk, Lyon and Hoffenheim in the Champions League group stage this season.
City are favourites to lift the famous trophy in Madrid next May after dominating English football last season, breaking 11 separate records en route to winning their third Premier League title.
They fell short in Europe, however, with Liverpool humbling their domestic rivals with a 5-1 aggregate victory at the quarter-final stage before reaching the final themselves.
Guardiola won this competition twice in his first three years in management but was unable to replicate that success at Bayern Munich, falling at the semi-final stage in each of his three seasons in Bavaria.
Having dominated England, City now have their sights on a first ever European triumph.
