Nearly half of Manchester United fans asked want the club to cut their losses on forward Robin van Persie this summer.

The Dutchman endured a difficult season at Old Trafford and has been linked with a move away from the club.

Van Persie scored just 12 in all competitions and said last month he felt responsible for United's lack of goals last season.

“As early as January of this year, I received information from Turkey about Robin and Fenerbahce. The minute this information came, you knew that United had sent people to test the water for a move,” he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

It seems some fans are just as eager to see the back of the former Arsenal man, who led United's charge towards the 2012-13 title under Sir Alex Ferguson.
