Marcus Rashford is set to lead England’s attack against Brazil, and the Manchester United forward says the Three Lions have the quality to compete with the South Americans

"The talent they have will never stop growing and developing and I think it’s the same for a nation like England,” said Rashford.

"If you look at our young players, the ones who have yet to play and the ones who are coming through, we have a lot of talent and it’s about nourishing them in the right way to make them into top professionals.

"We’re looking forward to these type of games because when it comes down to the World Cup, this is the sort of team that we’re going to be up against."

Since taking charge last year, Southgate has lost just two of his 14 games in charge and helped England qualify for the World Cup with an unbeaten record.

Rashford is convinced that the team are improving with each match they play under the former Middlesbrough boss.

"I think not only have we qualified for the World Cup, but the way we’re growing as a team and understanding each other on the pitch is growing," he said.

"It’s something that’s difficult to do with England because of the limited time that we get together but I think if we can keep building and doing what we’re doing off the pitch, then on the pitch everyone’s qualities will start to show.”
