Martin Taylor's sure new partner is going to be ready and able

Confident: Martin Taylor
Ian Gibb11 April 2012

Martin Taylor is confident Watford will cope without his regular centre-half partner Adrian Mariappa at Coventry.

Mariappa's run of 114 consecutive League games will end tomorrow as he is suspended following his dismissal at Middlesbrough two weeks ago.

While boss Malky Mackay decides who should fill in, Taylor is sure the player will be on his game.

He said: "Everyone is gutted for Mapps as he's played so many in a row. Whoever comes in will be ready because that's how the staff prepare players and that's the mentality. The staff don't let players coast if they're not playing."
