Maurizio Sarri has confirmed Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi is in his first-team plans for the new season.

Hudson-Odoi, who won the Under-17 World Cup with England in 2017, has made his mark during pre-season, setting up Pedro's winner against Perth Glory before laying on a number of chances against the Gunners on Wednesday evening.

"He will stay with us for all the season," Sarri confirmed after the win over Arsenal, during which Hudson-Odoi won a penalty.

"He is a very young player. We have to wait. In the future he will be a very, very strong player."

The 17-year-old made his professional debut for the Blues against Newcastle in the FA Cup in January and went on to make two Premier League appearances under Antonio Conte.

Chelsea have offered Hudson-Odoi a new five-year contract.
