Millwall winger David Martin set to move to Derby

Milwall winger David Martin is expected to complete his move to Championship side Derby today after the clubs agreed a deal worth £200,000.

Martin, who has struggled for regular first-team action this season, impressed Derby manager Nigel Clough during their two FA Cup meetings in January and is out of contract in the summer.

Lions boss Kenny Jackett was keen to keep hold of the 24-year-old, who has scored nine goals in his 90 appearances for the club.

He said: "We have relucatantly accepted an offer for David, because of our inability to get his representatives to the table to discuss a new contract.

"Danny Schofield, his natural replacement, has a chance of making it for Saturday's home game against Norwich.

"Strengthening is something we are constantly looking at. If we did bring someone in, it would need to be someone who is comfortable on the left."
