Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hit out at Premier League schedulers, claiming they are ‘having a laugh’ at the expense of the Blues.

Mourinho’s side are the only English Champions League side to play on Saturday after coming through a midweek game in the European competition.

Arsenal travel to Manchester United in Sunday’s late kick-off while Manchester City visit the Stadium of Light earlier on Sunday, giving all three clubs an opportunity to gather themselves after Champions League matches.

But the Blues must host West Brom less than 72 hours after their 3-0 victory over Schalke and the Chelsea boss has declared his unrest at the ‘special’ treatment.

"I think they laugh," Mourinho said.

"They know what they can do and laugh because I can do nothing. The people who decide the fixtures, I don't know who they are but what I know is that they think we're special and give us the right fixtures. We're the only ones who play Wednesday and Saturday.

"I feel our match is very special because from every English team involved in European competitions, especially the ones involved in Champions League matches, we're the only team that play Saturday.”
