Resurgent Blues must win at the City Ground to keep up late push for Europe
Marc Mayo7 days ago

Resurgent Chelsea travel to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League this afternoon, looking to maintain their late push for European qualification.

The Blues go into the penultimate weekend of the top-flight season level on points with Manchester United but in possession of the Europa Conference League spot courtesy of a superior goal difference.

With United facing Arsenal on Sunday then sixth-placed Newcastle in midweek, Mauricio Pochettino’s team know one more win could be the telling blow in this battle - before setting their sights on the Toon.

Forest, meanwhile, hold a three-point lead and greater goal difference than Luton after their failed appeal against a points deduction confirmed what they still need to beat the drop.

Burnley are also still in the survival picture but, should both lose in the earlier kick-offs, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will have already completed their mission before kicking a ball.

Date, kick-off time and venue
