Orient in debt to Scott McGleish after bank manager strikes

Ian Gibb11 April 2012

A banker put the squeeze on Leyton Orient last night but they earned credit from manager Russell Slade for eventually escaping from non-League Droylsden with a draw.

Former Manchester City junior Ciaran Kilheeney, who is now a bank manager, headed the Blue Square North side in front in this FA Cup second-round tie but Scott McGleish equalised 17 minutes from time with his header off a post from Dean Cox's centre.

Manager Slade said: "It was a very difficult game for us. After the break they didn't have a lot and we deserved the equaliser. We've come back again and showed we never die."

The winners of next Tuesday's replay at Brisbane Road will be home to Norwich in the third round.
