Ah, Peter Odemwingie. The eternal 'one that got away' for Harry Redknapp and QPR.

As a refresher: back on Deadline Day in 2013, the striker then of West Brom took it upon himself to drive 120 miles in the hope to seal a move to the R's.

It didn't pan out. The 11pm deadlock came and went and Redknapp later claimed "wires got crossed" as Odemwingie returned to the Hawthorns to be disciplined.

But just how close was Odemwingie to becoming QPR's latest recruit? Well, very if the club's Head of Media and Communications latest tweet is anything to go by.

Ahead of a new to a new job, Ian Taylor pulled out a long lost relic from QPR's Premier League days - a unused No.9 shirt for Odemwingie.

The one that got away. Odemwingie did end up leaving West Brom that summer, joining Cardiff City, and is currently without a club after a spell in Indonesia.
