Philippe Coutinho has not given up on lifting the Premier League trophy with Liverpool this season.
The Merseysiders suffered a damaging 3-0 defeat to Watford last weekend and are without a win in their last three games in England's top tier.
Jurgen Klopp's arrival at Anfield initially led to an upturn in performances but an insipid display at Vicarage Road saw the German coach's side slip to ninth place in the table.
Coutinho and his teammates are a huge 14 points adrift of early pacesetters Leicester City ahead of their Boxing Day clash with Claudio Ranieri's men but the Brazilian is adamant the Reds can still challenge for the top honour.
"We're in a very good position," he told the Mirror.
"We're all focused on fighting for trophies and I think we have a great chance in all the competitions we're in this year.
"We're going to fight for that and I hope we win a trophy this season," Coutinho insisted.
The 23-year-old has been one of the club's leading performers this season and is Liverpool's top scorer in the Premier League with five goals to his name.
January will mark Coutinho's third year in English football after he joined Liverpool from Inter Milan in 2013 and the midfielder believes that he has grown as a player during his time on these shores.
"It's been three wonderful years and I'm very grateful to the club.
"When you arrive here you see the football is very different.

"The style of play is more intense and you use your body more. It's faster.
"These things I think I've improved on since I arrived as I came from a different style of football."
