Bobby Zamora has agreed a new four-year deal with Fulham.
The England striker's contract was due to expire at the end of the season but, following interest from Liverpool and Birmingham this summer, Fulham have secured the future of their star man.
Zamora enjoyed a remarkable season last term, finishing with 19 goals in 48 appearances, and was a key factor behind the club's march to the Europa League Final.
His performances attracted the attention of Fabio Capello who admitted he would have been considered for England's World Cup squad but for an Achilles injury.
He did not have to wait long for his first cap, however, with Capello bringing him on in the second half of last month's 2-1 victory over Hungary.
It continues an impressive change in fortunes for a player who only in November was being jeered by his own fans.
That reaction proved the catalyst for the form that thrust him into the England reckoning.
A string of spectacular goals against Basle, Shakhtar Donetsk, Juventus and Wolfsburg, a good first touch and his strength on the ball have seen Zamora's value rocket to £10million.
The £4.8m signing from West Ham has already scored three goals this season, however, a thigh injury could keep him out of tomorrow's match against Wolves.
The visitors are set to give a debut to Marcus Bent, who was signed on loan from Birmingham last month.
Jelle Van Damme has recovered from the ankle injury suffered in a challenge by Newcastle's Joey Barton a fortnight ago but fellow Wolves defender Ronald Zubar is ruled out of the clash due to a hamstring injury.
