Romelu Lukaku is still waiting to hear from Chelsea whether he will be sold this summer.
It is believed Chelsea are looking to cash in on the striker to raise transfer funds or use him as part of a possible swap deal for Everton’s Ross Barkley or John Stones.
The 20-year-old has spent the season on loan at Everton, scoring 15 goals in all competitions — more than Chelsea strikers Samuel Eto’o, Demba Ba and Fernando Torres have managed.
However, he still looks surplus to requirements. Manager Jose Mourinho is already closing in on the £32m acquisition of Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa and is also looking at Paris Saint Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi and Bayern Munich forward Mario Mandzukic.
His agent Christope Henrotay said: “For the moment, Romelu belongs to Chelsea. He has two years left on his contract. It’s going to depend on Chelsea. After that, we’ll see together what the best options are if Chelsea decide to let him go.
“That they want to bring in a big-name striker has been well‑documented. But Chelsea need lots of great strikers. And if there are too many, they’ll choose to allow Romelu to leave. But if they think there aren’t enough forwards, perhaps Romelu will say, ‘I’m interested in prolonging the adventure’. But it’s still too soon.”

Henrotay also represents Thibaut Courtois, who is on loan at Atletico Madrid. The goalkeeper is expected to agree a new contract soon and will be part of Chelsea’s pre‑season plans after Petr Cech was ruled out for up to 10 weeks following shoulder surgery.
