Leyton Orient prepared for their FA Cup clash at Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday in the worst possible fashion, surrendering a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at Colchester last night.

Manager Russell Slade, whose side were 2-0 ahead after 18 minutes courtesy of Alex Revell's double strike, said: "We wanted to go into that having lost only one in eight — but we've blown it to a certain extent."

Meanwhile, Daggers were thumped 4-0 at Southampton and Barnet slipped to the bottom of League Two after a 3-0 home defeat by Stevenage.
