Spurs 'refuse Blackburn permission to speak to Tim Sherwood'

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly turned down an official approach from Blackburn for Tim Sherwood.

Blackburn want to offer Sherwood, Tottenham’s technical co-ordinator, the vacant managerial position at Ewood Park following Steve Kean's resignation but Levy does not want him to leave, the Daily Mail reports.

Levy will speak to Sherwood about his future this week.

Sherwood, who has been on the coaching staff at White Hart Lane since October 2008, said over the weekend: “That's all they are - just rumours. That's all I know about it.

“I've got a great job where I am. There is nothing to consider. It's just speculation. I love what I do. I'm happy at the football club, it's a great project.”
