Stoke launch probe into James Beattie's party bust-up with Tony Pulis

Internal affairs: Tony Pulis was allegedly involved in an altercation with James Beattie
11 April 2012

Stoke have launched an investigation after it was claimed Tony Pulis and James Beattie were involved in a dressing-room row following their 2-0 defeat at Arsenal.

Beattie was not at training this morning as the fall-out continues over an argument between the striker and his manager regarding the players' Christmas party.

Pulis was believed to have ordered the players to report for training today, prompting Beattie to object after it had previously been agreed the first team would not be required to come in until tomorrow because they were due to go out in London last night for their Christmas party.

Pulis was said to have reacted furiously to Beattie's response and, after squaring up to the 31-year-old, it was alleged the pair clashed and punches were thrown.
