Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has revealed he hasn't yet sat down with the club to discuss where he'll play his football next season, but insisted he now needs to take himself "to the next level".

Abraham, 19, is in demand this summer after impressing during his season-long loan at Bristol City last term where he scored 26 goals in all competitions.

Newcastle are confident they can beat Brighton in the race to sign Abraham on loan next season, although it is believed that Chelsea will offer the striker a new deal which could see his wages doubled to £50,000-a-week as they earmark him for a future role in the first team.

Abraham is currently away with the England Under-21s team at the European Championships in Poland, but the forward talked about his situation at Chelsea - saying he hasn't yet spoken with the club about their plans for him next term but insisted he plans on trying to score more goals wherever he ends up.

"As far as I am aware, yeah," he said when asked if his future was still open. "I haven't spoken with Chelsea yet. I am focusing on this tournament so the discussions will happen after.

"I'm not too sure (about his future). Hopefully it will be in the Premier League.

"After this season I need to take myself to the next level. That's the type of person I am, I always want to do better. I always want to do more. So going into the new season my aim will be to top this one."
