Jose Mourinho denied chance to work with stuttering Chelsea squad as stars head off for international duty

Jose Mourinho may well be cursing the timing of the international break following Chelsea's seventh Premier League loss away to Stoke City at the weekend as it leaves the Portuguese coach with very little time to work on the weaknesses of his under-performing stars.

Mourinho will be without 12 of his squad members during the international break, which includes struggling striker Diego Costa who has been recalled to the Spain squad after he was left out of of Vicente Del Bosque's team last time around.

Costa is expected to lead the line for La Roja when they come up against England in a friendly game on Friday while Gary Cahill is also set to play despite having been dropped for Chelsea's last two matches because of his inconsistent form.

Two other Blues players who have struggled for form this season are Branislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic, but the pair will have the chance to go away and forget their troubles at Chelsea when they represent Serbia against Wales.

Meanwhile, Oscar and Willian - who have been impressive in recent weeks are likely to play in Brazil's fixtures against Argentina and Peru.

Watch the above video to find out who else from the Chelsea first-team will be in action during the international break.
