Tottenham captain Michael Dawson has warned his team-mates that they must still learn from the mistakes of last season and keep their discipline against Arsenal.

Tottenham took an early lead on their last visit to Emirates Stadium only for Emmanuel Adebayor to then get sent off and they lost 5-2.

It was all the more costly as they missed out on a top four place to their rivals by just a point and Dawson (above) said: “Discipline can be key in these games.

“We were 1-0 up, but Adebayor’s sending off just changed the game. It was a hard afternoon. We fought back and ended up having a good season, but didn’t finish quite where we wanted to be.

“You can look back on many factors in the season where crucial points were dropped late on and that was one of the games.”
