Tottenham have been drawn to face Gent in the last 32 of the Europa League.

Spurs dropped into Europe's secondary competition following a disappointing return to the Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino's men won at home and away against CSKA Moscow, but lost twice to Monaco and picked up just a point from two games against Bayer Leverkusen.

They finished third in Group E and will now compete in the Europa League for the sixth straight season.

During that run Tottenham have never progressed beyond the quarter-finals, but speaking head of Monday’s draw, Jan Vertonghen said: “I believe we can win the Europa League, I think we can.

"Maybe the experience of the Champions League will help.

“We are very hungry to win trophies. It is a shame it will not be in the Champions League this year but we are one of the better teams in the Europa League. Now we have to show it."

Tottenham will travel to Gent on February 16, while the return leg at Wembley will be played on February 23.
