Toby Alderweireld insists Tottenham fear no one after they equalled a club-record unbeaten run with yesterday’s derby demolition of West Ham.

Spurs strolled to a 4-1 victory at White Hart Lane and have now not lost in 12 Premier League games, while they last tasted defeat at home in the top flight on May 3.

Faltering champions Chelsea are the next visitors in six days’ time and Alderweireld says no team will relish playing at Spurs.

“We have to be strong at home and the teams don’t want to come here anymore, so that’s nice,” added the defender, who scored Spurs’ second goal against West Ham in a win which put them four points off Premier League leaders Leicester.

“Let’s keep it that way. We feel we can beat every team if we are on top of our game and that’s a good feeling.

“We are very solid in defence, which gives us a good base, and in attack we can make the difference.

“The most important thing is to work very hard. If one player makes a mistake, another will cover for him, and that is the mentality we want.” This week will test the strength of Spurs’ squad, however. Thursday’s Europa League meeting with Qarabag in Baku, Azerbaijan, requires a round trip of nearly 5,000 miles to a time zone four hours ahead of the UK.

Less than 72 hours later, Spurs begin their game against Chelsea — a midday kick-off on Sunday.

They will be without Dele Alli for the clash with Jose Mourinho’s team after the midfielder picked up his fifth booking of the campaign yesterday.

Alderweireld added: “If you want to play in Europe you have to make these kinds of trips. We are not going to worry about the travelling. We are going to do our best and we will be fit on Sunday, no problem.”

Harry Kane scored for the fifth club game in a row to put Spurs ahead yesterday and added another in the second half before Kyle Walker made it 4-0.

West Ham hit back late on through the impressive Manuel Lanzini.
