Back in goal: Cech is impressing before he's even played a game

Petr Cech didn’t show any signs of rustiness in an open Arsenal training session, pulling off a fantastic double save.

The £11 million signing from Chelsea played just seven Premier League games last season but he is certain to be a regular in the Emirates goal, certainly if he can pull off the sort of stops he did in this training session.

First Cech pulled off a fine two-handed block from a volleyed shot, palming the ball back into the area. It fell to one of his colleagues who hit a low drive towards goal. The 33-year-old showed remarkable reflexes to stick out his left leg and keep the effort out.

Cech could make his first appearance in an Arsenal shirt tomorrow, when Arsene Wenger’s side take on a Singapore XI in the Barclays Asia Trophy. His semi-competitive debut could come against his former side Chelsea, who Arsenal face in the Community Shield on August 2.
