Thrilled England fans stopped traffic across London as Gareth Southgate’s men shot to victory over Colombia after a nail-biting penalty shootout .

Jubilant scenes erupted at London Bridge and in Camden with fans scaling lampposts and one man climbing on top of a double decker bus.

Shirtless fans scaled the number 31 as it stood still surrounded by crowds in North London following the 4 – 3 penalty shootou t in Moscow’s Spartak Stadium.

Huge crowds bellowed out ‘It’s Coming Home’ as crowds halted buses in Tottenham Court Road and Charing Cross Road.

Amazing scenes of celebration broke out in bars and pubs across the capital as fans celebrated in Flat Iron Square and Croydon Box Park.

In Woolwich, crowds gathered to watch the tense clash in a park by the station.

England and Colombia fans joined to watch the knockout on Bermondsey’s Kirby Estate that is adorned by 300 flags.
