Denmark goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is bracing himself for a very different type of test against Japan on Thursday compared to the one his side overcame against Cameroon at the weekend.
The Danes got their World Cup campaign back on track with a 2-1 victory over the Indomitable Lions in Pretoria and they are now in a direct fight with Japan for the second qualifying spot in Group E behind Holland.
Japan hold the slight upper hand due to their superior goal difference, which means Denmark must win the match if they are to snatch second place away from their opponents.
Looking ahead to the clash in Rustenburg, Sorensen acknowledges the Danes will be facing a contrasting style of play to the one they came up against in Pretoria.
He said: "We saw a bit of Japan's match against Holland, it's going to be a different game, they are a lot more organised than Cameroon, maybe not as individually skilled but they are similar to us, they work as a team.
"It's going to be a difficult game, they'll run their socks off, but it's down to us to break them down. "They'll probably be looking for some counter-attacks so we need to be disciplined, but we also need a goal.
"We need to break them down because we need to win. I'm sure the manager will have a plan."
