Francis: We need to roll up our sleeves

13 April 2012

Gerry Francis has warned his Queens Park Rangers players he is not prepared to wait until the end of the season to make their First Division status safe.

Rangers have left it late in two of the last three campaigns and are bottom of the table going into their match against Crystal Palace at Loftus Road tomorrow.

Director of football Francis said: "Unfortunately, it is not as if the players are not used to being in this position.

"But I do not want to wait until the last couple of games in the season to get clear, and everyone needs to roll their sleeves up.

"We are capable of being a mid-table side and we had three decent results before Tuesday's disappointment when we lost 3-2 to Norwich.

"I am confident we can get out of trouble, but playing Palace will be tough because they have done really well until recently."
