Geremi clinches Newcastle move

Cameroon international Geremi has completed his move from Chelsea to Newcastle after being granted a work permit.

The 28-year-old utility man agreed terms on a three-year deal and passed a medical earlier this week subject to a successful application for the permit.

He will join up with his new team-mates when they return from their pre-season training camp in Austria next week.

Sam Allardyce's fourth summer signing has been given extra time to recover from his international duties following the end of the domestic season.
