Hoggard strikes for England

Matthew Hoggard picked up a wicket during the first hour as England attempted to fight their way back into the fourth and final Test at The Oval.

Opener Imran Farhat had progressed to 91 when he edged a delivery from the Yorkshire seamer to Marcus Trescothick at slip.

But Pakistan had made good progress and were 148 for two - just 25 runs adrift of the hosts' first-innings score.
