Wigan missed the chance to effectively confirm Barclays Premiership survival as their winning run came to an end in a feeble goalless draw with Fulham at the JJB Stadium.

Fulham, for whom Papa Bouba Diop fired their only real chance over the crossbar in the first half, will be happier with a share which takes them 10 points clear of Charlton.

Wigan had the best chances with Emile Heskey heading straight at Antti Niemi and Henri Camara just failing to deflect home Antonio Valencia's right-wing cross.
