Hot Baker rolls back the years

13 April 2012

Peter Baker fed off the memories of the 1993 Ryder Cup to reignite his career at the Benson and Hedges International Open at The Belfry today.

The 34-year-old, who has not won a tournament since his inspired Cup debut, hit a second-round 68 to be one behind Colin Montgomerie at halfway.

Montgomerie got a closing birdie on the ninth giving him a 67 and the lead on six under.

Alongside Baker in second place were Ian Woosnam, John Daly, Roger Wessels and Greg Owen.
