Jones blow is another Welsh woe

13 April 2012

Duncan Jones is the latest Wales player to be ruled out of the remaining autumn internationals after he failed to recover from a foot injury which has now been encased in plaster.

The 52-times capped prop join Ospreys team-mate Gavin Henson on the injured list and misses tonight's game against Canada and the more demanding matches with New Zealand and Australia.

"Duncan has had a long-term bone problem in his foot which has recently flared up," said Wales team physio Mark Davies. "We are taking specialist advice before predicting when he will be able to return but it won't be this year."

Jones has been replaced in the Wales starting XV at the Millennium Stadium tonight by Cardiff's John Yapp. Henson, meanwhile, is likely to be out of action for another month.
