Keane sticks to his guns amid turmoil

Robbie Keane has called for a united front tonight as pressure mounts on Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni.

There is speculation the Italian might be out of a job even if his team bounce back from a 6-1 drubbing by Germany to beat the Faroe Islands.

Striker Keane said: “When we are in the hotel together and playing together, we have to stick together. It’s as simple as that.”
