Anne Keothavong is through to the semi-finals of the ASB Classic in Auckland after Ajumi Morita retired during their match today.

The British No1 won the opening set 6-0 when her Japanese opponent quit with a hamstring injury.

Keothavong, who will now play either Caroline Wozniacki and Elena Vesnina, reached a WTA Tour semi-final in 2007 but has never reached a final.
